Drilling bullet price manufacturers

When comparing prices, you must evaluate the Tungsten Carbide Grade (K-series) and the Body Steel Quality (42CrMo or 35CrMo). A lower price often indicates recycled carbide or inferior steel, which leads to premature breakage. Ensure the brazing strength is tested to prevent the carbide tip from detaching during high-torque operations. For B2B buyers, the Hardness (HRC 48-52 for the body) and Impact Toughness are the primary drivers of cost and performance.

The price varies significantly based on the application: Soft Soil bits are cheaper but lack the reinforcement needed for Hard Rock or Cobble layers. For abrasive conditions, you should invest in bullets with Hard-facing (wear-resistant welding) on the body. While the unit price is higher, the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is lower because it extends the tool life by 30-50%, reducing downtime for bit replacement.

Ensure the manufacturer follows ISO 9001:2015 for quality management. For mining and heavy construction, check if the products meet API (American Petroleum Institute) standards or equivalent national benchmarks. Request a Material Test Report (MTR) and a Heat Treatment Certificate to verify that the steel has been processed to handle the specific stress loads of rotary drilling rigs.

To achieve the best price-to-performance ratio, look for suppliers on Made-in-China.com that offer tiered pricing based on volume. For orders exceeding 1,000 pieces, you can typically negotiate a 15-20% discount. Additionally, sourcing customized shank sizes (e.g., 19mm, 22mm, 25mm, 30/38mm) directly from the factory avoids middleman markups and ensures perfect compatibility with your drilling augers or trenching machines.

The primary risks include Material Substitution (using low-grade steel) and Weight Discrepancies. Since drilling bullets are heavy, shipping costs are a major factor. Always verify the Gross Weight and Net Weight in the contract. Use Third-Party Inspection services (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Rockwell Hardness Test before the balance payment is made to ensure the goods match the approved samples.

Due to the high weight-to-volume ratio, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical method. Negotiate FOB (Free On Board) terms if you have a reliable forwarder, or CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) if you want the supplier to handle the risk until the port of destination. Ensure the packaging consists of Reinforced Plastic Buckets or Plywood Crates to prevent moisture damage and structural failure during transit.

Always conduct transactions through secure channels. Utilize the Escrow or Trade Assurance services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your funds. Never wire full payments to private bank accounts; ensure the Beneficiary Name matches the Company Name on the Business License. For first-time orders, a 30% deposit and 70% against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is a standard and safe industry practice.
