Examination paper roll manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize 100% virgin wood pulp for superior strength and hygiene. The standard weight usually ranges from 18gsm to 25gsm; higher gsm provides better tear resistance and absorbency. Additionally, ensure the paper is lint-free to prevent contamination in clinical environments and check if it is PE-coated if moisture resistance is required for specific medical procedures.

As a medical consumable, the product must meet ISO 13485 standards for medical device quality management. For export to the US, FDA registration is essential, while the CE mark is required for the European market. Ensure the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) to confirm the absence of toxic chemicals or fluorescent whitening agents that could cause skin irritation.

Verify the perforation interval, typically every 38cm to 50cm, which ensures easy tearing and reduces waste. You must also confirm the inner core diameter (usually 4cm or 5cm) to ensure compatibility with existing examination table dispensers. Requesting a sample to test the tensile strength when wet is highly recommended for high-traffic clinics.

Most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM services, including custom widths (standard is 50cm, 60cm, or 70cm) and roll lengths (from 40m to 100m). You can also request individual shrink-wrapping for each roll to maintain sterility during storage and transport, or private labeling for brand consistency.

Always request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek. Focus on weight verification (gsm check) and quantity counting, as 'short-rolling' (providing less length than advertised) is a common industry risk. Using Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services can help protect your payment until the goods are verified.

Since paper is heavy and relatively low-value, shipping costs significantly impact the landed cost. Negotiate based on Full Container Load (FCL) to minimize unit freight costs. Ask for tiered pricing; for example, a 5-10% discount is standard when moving from a 20GP to a 40HQ container. For long-term contracts, try to lock in a fixed price for 6-12 months to hedge against pulp price fluctuations.

Paper rolls are highly susceptible to moisture and edge crushing. Insist on the use of heavy-duty corrugated outer cartons and palletization with plastic wrap to prevent humidity absorption. Ensure the bill of lading specifies 'Keep Dry' and 'Do Not Stack Heavy Goods On Top' to maintain the structural integrity of the paper cores.
