Fingerprint biometric cards manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize the sensor type (capacitive vs. optical), as capacitive sensors offer higher security and a slimmer profile suitable for ISO-standard cards. Ensure the card features a Secure Element (SE) to store biometric templates locally, preventing data leakage. The False Acceptance Rate (FAR) should be less than 0.001%, and the False Rejection Rate (FRR) should be under 1% to ensure a balance between high security and user convenience.

The cards must adhere to ISO/IEC 7810 and 7816 for physical dimensions and contact interface, and ISO/IEC 14443 for contactless communication (NFC). For payment-enabled cards, EMVCo certification is essential. Additionally, ensure the manufacturing facility complies with ISO 27001 for information security management and GDPR if the cards are destined for the European market, as biometric data is highly sensitive.

Most modern biometric cards are battery-less and utilize Energy Harvesting technology, drawing power from the terminal's RF field via NFC. However, for long-range access control, some may include ultra-thin flexible batteries. Verify that the card can complete a biometric match in under 1 second using the harvested power to avoid transaction delays.

These cards are primarily used for High-Security Access Control in government or corporate facilities, Cold Wallet Hardware for cryptocurrency storage, and Biometric Payment Cards to eliminate the need for PINs. They are also increasingly used for Identity Management in healthcare and social security programs to prevent identity theft.

Request a Proof of Concept (PoC) or a small sample batch (5-10 units) before placing a bulk order. Use third-party inspection services like SGS or Intertek to perform a Functionality Test on-site at the factory, focusing on the sensor's durability and the card's flexibility/torsion resistance to ensure the internal circuitry doesn't crack during daily use.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on the volume of the Secure Element chips, which are the most expensive component. Negotiate for Technical Support Agreements, ensuring the supplier provides the necessary SDK (Software Development Kit) and API documentation for integration. Ask for a Warranty Period of at least 12-24 months, as electronic components in flexible cards are prone to wear.

Biometric cards are sensitive to Static Electricity (ESD) and extreme pressure. Ensure the supplier uses Anti-Static Packaging and reinforced outer cartons. For international shipping to regions like the US or EU, clearly define the HS Code (typically 8523.52) to avoid customs delays and ensure all Export Licenses for encryption technology are prepared in advance.

Always utilize Escrow-based payment services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon confirmation of receipt and quality. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Insist on a Detailed Sales Contract that specifies the chip model, sensor brand, and exact firmware version to be delivered.
