Freezer plastic frame manufacturers

The primary material used is ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) or PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), which must be low-temperature resistant to prevent cracking or becoming brittle at sub-zero temperatures. For food-related applications, ensure the material is Food Grade (FDA or EU 10/2011 compliant) and possesses high impact strength to withstand frequent door openings and closings.

You must verify the dimensional tolerances, typically requiring a precision of ±0.5mm or less. Request CAD/STEP files from the supplier to check the groove design for gasket insertion and the thermal expansion coefficient, ensuring the frame maintains a tight seal to prevent energy loss and frost buildup.

Prioritize suppliers using high-precision injection molding or co-extrusion processes. The frames should feature seamless welding at the corners (often using ultrasonic or thermal welding) to ensure structural integrity and prevent moisture from entering the insulation layer of the freezer.

Suppliers should hold ISO 9001:2015 for quality management. For the European market, RoHS and REACH certifications are mandatory to ensure the absence of hazardous substances. If the frame includes integrated heating elements (anti-fog), UL or CE certification for electrical safety is required.

Plastic frames are prone to deformation under pressure. Require the supplier to use reinforced U-shaped cardboard edge protectors and fumigated wooden crates. Ensure the incoterm is CIF or includes cargo insurance, and request a Low-Temperature Impact Test Report before the goods leave the factory.

Focus on the mold cost amortization. For large volumes, negotiate for the supplier to absorb the tooling fee or refund it after a specific quantity (e.g., 5,000 units). Use Made-in-China.com to compare the raw material weight vs. unit price to ensure you are not overpaying for brand premiums.

Check if the supplier is an Audited Supplier on Made-in-China.com, which confirms their factory location and production capacity. Request a video audit of their injection molding workshop and ask for third-party inspection (like SGS or Intertek) for the first mass-production batch to ensure consistency with the approved sample.

Due to the high volume-to-weight ratio, Sea Freight (FCL) is the most economical method. To optimize costs, ask the supplier to nest the frames if the design allows, or ship them as SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) components to be assembled locally, significantly reducing the CBM (Cubic Meter) charges.
