Geely coolray manufacturers

When sourcing the Geely Coolray, buyers must distinguish between the 1.5TD 3-cylinder and the newer 1.5T 4-cylinder (Leishen Power) engines. Ensure the vehicle features the 7-speed Wet Dual-Clutch Transmission (7DCT) for better heat dissipation in hot climates. Key configurations to confirm include the BMA (B-segment Modular Architecture) chassis integrity, L2-level Intelligent Driving Assistance (ICC, LKA, APA), and the 540° panoramic imaging system with transparent chassis functionality.

The Geely Coolray is often produced to meet China VI (National 6b) emission standards, which are equivalent to Euro 6. Buyers must ensure the destination country's fuel quality (sulfur content) is compatible with GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) engines to prevent carbon buildup. For markets with lower fuel grades, consult the supplier about ECU remapping or specific export versions designed for Euro 4 or Euro 5 regions.

Vehicles must adhere to regional safety and environmental regulations. For the EU, WVTA (Whole Vehicle Type Approval) is required; for Gulf countries, GCC (GSO) Certification is essential; and for Russia/CIS, OTTS (Vehicle Type Approval Certificate) is mandatory. Always verify the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) prefix to ensure the car is an export-authorized unit and check for ECE R100 compliance if dealing with hybrid variants.

The Coolray is positioned as a Sporty Compact SUV targeting urban youth. Performance benchmarks include a 0-100 km/h acceleration in approximately 7.6 seconds. It is ideal for urban commuting and car-sharing fleets due to its high fuel efficiency (approx. 6.35L/100km) and compact dimensions which facilitate easy parking in dense city environments.

The biggest risks include damage during maritime transit and documentation discrepancies. Mitigate these by insisting on CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) terms where the seller covers insurance. Use third-party pre-shipment inspections (PSI) to verify the vehicle's condition, mileage (should be <50km for new cars), and the presence of all spare keys and manuals before the final balance payment.

For small batches (1-3 units), Container Loading (40HQ) is safest to prevent sea salt corrosion. For large-scale procurement, Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) shipping is more cost-effective. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin and a Clean Bill of Lading. If sourcing via Made-in-China.com, prioritize suppliers who offer secured payment services to protect your capital until the shipping documents are verified.

Negotiations should focus on after-sales parts packages rather than just the unit price. Request a 'Wear-and-Tear' parts kit (filters, brake pads, spark plugs) to be included in the container. For orders exceeding 10 units, negotiate for dealer-level diagnostic software access or technical training support, which adds significantly more long-term value than a 1-2% price discount.

Never transfer full payments to personal bank accounts; always use corporate accounts verified by the platform. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the Engine Number and Chassis Number. Verify the supplier's export license validity specifically for New Energy Vehicles (NEV) or Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles, as China has specific regulatory requirements for used vs. new car exports.
