Glucose pentaacetate manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize the purity level, typically requiring ≥98% or 99% for pharmaceutical or chemical synthesis applications. It is crucial to distinguish between the alpha (α) and beta (β) isomers, as their melting points and reactivity differ significantly. Ensure the melting point range aligns with standard values (approx. 110-114°C for the beta-form and 130-132°C for the alpha-form) and verify that moisture content is ≤0.5% to prevent degradation during storage.

Glucose Pentaacetate is widely used as a biochemical reagent and an intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, such as arbutin. In the food and consumer goods industry, it serves as a bitter agent or a flavoring ingredient. Additionally, it is utilized in the production of biodegradable plastics and as a starting material for glycosylation reactions. Understanding your specific end-use helps in determining the required grade (Industrial vs. Pharmaceutical).

Suppliers must provide a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS/SDS) and a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. For European markets, REACH registration is essential. If the product is intended for food or pharma-related use, look for suppliers with ISO 9001, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), or HACCP certifications. Ensure the product complies with the Global Harmonized System (GHS) for labeling and packaging.

Request HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) reports to verify purity and FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) data to confirm molecular structure. Stability testing is vital; ensure the supplier provides data on shelf-life (usually 24 months) under cool, dry conditions. For bulk orders, it is highly recommended to request a pre-shipment sample for third-party laboratory testing to ensure it meets your internal quality benchmarks.

The primary risks include quality inconsistency between samples and bulk orders, and damage during transit due to improper sealing. To mitigate this, use Secure Payment services on platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Always verify the supplier's export license for chemicals to avoid customs seizures.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers; for Glucose Pentaacetate, price breaks often occur at 100kg, 500kg, and 1-ton levels. Negotiate for staggered delivery schedules if you have limited storage capacity but want to lock in bulk pricing. Demand transparency in the raw material supply chain (e.g., acetic anhydride costs) to understand price fluctuations.

Glucose Pentaacetate is generally classified as non-hazardous for transport, but it must be packed in moisture-proof containers, such as 25kg fiber drums with double PE inner bags. Ensure the cargo is kept away from strong oxidizing agents and stored in a cool, well-ventilated warehouse. For shipping to the US or EU, ensure the wood pallets are heat-treated (ISPM 15 compliant).

Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com, as these companies have undergone rigorous on-site inspections by third-party agencies like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Review the supplier's transaction history and buyer feedback. For first-time orders, consider using an inspection service to verify the quantity and packaging integrity at the loading port before the final payment is made.
