Gold bracelets for men manufacturers

Buyers must distinguish between Solid Gold (10K, 14K, 18K, 24K), Gold Filled, and Gold Plated (PVD or Electroplating). For the men's market, 14K and 18K gold are preferred for their balance of purity and durability. If sourcing plated options, ensure a stainless steel (316L) or sterling silver (925) base with a minimum plating thickness of 2.0 microns to prevent premature tarnishing and skin irritation.

Current demand focuses on classic and bold designs. Key styles include Cuban Link (Miami or Flat), Figaro, Rope, and Box chains. For high-end retail, integrated ID bracelets and bangle-style bracelets with mechanical clasps are trending. Ensure the clasp mechanism (Lobster claw or Box clasp with safety wing) is reinforced, as men's jewelry is subject to higher physical stress.

Suppliers must provide Hallmark certification (e.g., 585 for 14K) stamped on the clasp or end-link. For exports to the US and EU, products must be Lead-free, Nickel-free, and Cadmium-free to comply with REACH and CPSIA regulations. Always request a Third-party Assay Report from recognized labs like GIA or SGS to verify gold purity.

Focus on the finishing and weight consistency. Check for high-polish mirror finishes without visible pitting or scratches. For hollow links, verify the wall thickness to ensure they won't dent easily. The weight tolerance should not exceed +/- 0.05 grams per unit compared to the approved sample. Request a tension test report for the clasp to ensure it can withstand at least 5-10kg of pulling force.

Utilize Escrow payment services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after quality verification. Conduct a Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) using a professional agency to perform a spectrometer (XRF) test on random samples from the batch to confirm gold content matches the contract.

Jewelry pricing is usually split into Gold Value (linked to London Fix spot price) + Labor/Making Charges. Negotiate a fixed labor cost per gram and agree on a price adjustment formula based on the market gold price on the day of order confirmation. This transparency prevents suppliers from padding margins during market volatility.

Always use insured express couriers (e.g., FedEx, DHL, or specialized armored services like Brinks for very high values). Ensure the commercial invoice uses the correct HS Code (7113.19 for gold jewelry) to avoid customs delays. Use discreet, tamper-evident packaging that does not indicate the contents are 'Gold' or 'Jewelry' on the outer label to prevent theft during transit.

Check the Most Favored Nation (MFN) tariff rates for your specific country. For example, US imports may be subject to Section 301 tariffs if sourced from certain regions. Consider DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms if you want the supplier to handle all customs formalities, but ensure you have a clear breakdown of the VAT/GST implications in your local jurisdiction.
