Kong gloves manufacturers

When sourcing high-performance safety gloves, prioritize TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) impact protection on the back of the hand and fingers. Ensure the palm features synthetic leather or specialized grip material with double-stitching in high-wear areas. For heavy-duty applications, look for ANSI/ISEA 138 Level 2 or 3 impact ratings and EN 388:2016 standards for abrasion, cut, and tear resistance.

Verify that the supplier provides CE Certification and ANSI/ISEA testing reports. For oil and gas or construction sectors, the gloves must meet EN 388 (Mechanical Risks) and potentially EN 407 (Thermal Risks) if working in high-heat environments. Always request a Declaration of Conformity (DoC) to ensure the products are legal for sale in your target market, such as the EU or North America.

For oil and gas environments, choose gloves with oil-resistant palms and high-visibility colors. For cold weather operations, specify Thinsulate™ lining or waterproof membranes. If the task involves sharp objects, ensure the inner lining uses Kevlar® or high-performance polyethylene (HPPE) to achieve a high cut-resistance level (A4 to A9).

Request samples to test the dexterity and breathability. High-quality Kong-style gloves should feature pre-curved finger designs to reduce hand fatigue and extended neoprene cuffs for wrist protection. Check if the TPR ribs are segmented to allow for natural hand movement without compromising protection.

The primary risk is non-compliant certification, where products may look like 'Kong' gloves but lack the actual impact protection ratings. Another risk is material substitution, where a supplier uses lower-grade TPR that cracks in cold temperatures. To mitigate this, use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services and insist on third-party pre-shipment inspections (PSI) to verify material integrity.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on annual volume rather than a single order. Negotiate for custom branding (OEM) and specialized packaging at no extra cost for orders exceeding 2,000 pairs. Ask for a defective rate guarantee (typically below 1%) and agree on a repayment or replacement clause for any batch that fails random safety testing.

Safety gloves are generally classified under HS Code 6116 or 6216. Ensure the commercial invoice clearly states the material composition (e.g., 60% synthetic leather, 40% rubber) to avoid customs delays. For shipping to the US or Europe, ensure the Country of Origin (COO) is clearly marked on each pair to comply with import regulations.

Look for Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site verification by independent agencies like SGS, Bureau Veritas, or TÜV Rheinland. Check their Business Type (Manufacturer vs. Trading Company) and prioritize those with a proven track record in PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) production, evidenced by their transaction history and buyer reviews.
