Latex foam sheet manufacturers

When sourcing, prioritize Natural Latex (NR) which is derived from rubber trees, offering superior elasticity and breathability. Synthetic Latex (SBR) is cheaper but less durable and may emit odors. Always request a Natural Rubber Content Certificate; high-quality sheets should contain at least 80-95% natural latex to be marketed as 'natural'.

The most critical metric is Density (kg/m³). For mattress cores, a density of 65-85 kg/m³ is standard, while pillows require a softer 45-55 kg/m³. Additionally, check the ILD (Indentation Load Deflection) rating to measure firmness. For industrial gaskets or shoe insoles, ensure the tensile strength and elongation at break meet your specific mechanical requirements.

Since latex is often used in bedding and garments, ensure the supplier holds OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification to guarantee the absence of harmful substances. For the US market, compliance with CFR 1633 (flammability standards) is essential. For eco-conscious markets, look for LGA or eco-INSTITUT certifications which verify product durability and low VOC emissions.

There are two primary processes: Dunlop and Talalay. Dunlop is denser and firmer, ideal for support layers. Talalay involves a vacuum and flash-freeze stage, resulting in a more consistent, airy, and plush feel. Pin-core hole patterns are also vital for heat dissipation; ensure the mold design aligns with your breathability requirements.

Latex sheets are often vacuum-compressed to save freight costs. However, prolonged compression can lead to permanent thickness loss. Negotiate a clause that limits compression time to no more than 3-4 weeks and ensure the supplier uses heavy-duty PVC wrapping to prevent moisture ingress and oxidation during sea transit.

Focus on Volume-Based Tiered Pricing. Since latex prices fluctuate with global rubber commodity markets, ask for a price validity period (usually 15-30 days). Request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS to verify the actual density vs. declared density, as this is the most common area for quality fraud.

Check the HS Code (typically 400821) for specific import duties in your country. Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties that some regions apply to Chinese rubber products. Ensure all documents, including the Certificate of Origin, are accurately prepared to leverage any existing Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) that might reduce your tariff burden.

Always use Secure Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your deposit. Avoid direct transfers to private bank accounts. For large bulk orders, consider an Escrow arrangement where funds are only released upon the presentation of a clean Bill of Lading and a satisfactory quality inspection report.
