Lychee juice manufacturers

When evaluating Lychee Juice, the primary focus should be on the Brix level (sugar content), which typically ranges from 10% to 15% for NFC (Not From Concentrate) juice. Ensure the product maintains a natural floral aroma and a translucent to milky white color, as off-colors may indicate oxidation. For industrial applications, verify the pH level (usually 3.5–4.5) to ensure stability during further processing or bottling.

To ensure global market access, suppliers must possess HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and ISO 22000 certifications. For the US market, FDA registration and compliance with the FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) are essential. If targeting European markets, look for BRCGS (British Retail Consortium Global Standard) and ensure the product meets REACH and EU pesticide residue limits.

NFC (Not From Concentrate) juice offers superior flavor and nutritional profiles, commanding a premium price, and is ideal for high-end beverage brands. Concentrate (60-65 Brix) is more cost-effective for shipping and storage due to reduced volume, making it suitable for large-scale food manufacturing. Buyers should choose based on their target price point and logistical capabilities, specifically considering cold chain requirements for NFC products.

For bulk B2B orders, Aseptic Bags (200L or 1000L) in steel drums are the industry standard, providing a shelf life of 12–24 months at ambient temperatures. For retail-ready products, PET bottles with oxygen barriers or Tetra Pak are preferred. Ensure the packaging is BPA-free and includes UV protection to prevent the delicate lychee flavor from degrading under light exposure.

The most significant risk is quality degradation during transit, particularly for non-aseptic products. To mitigate this, use refrigerated containers (Reefers) and install temperature data loggers. Another risk is adulteration (adding sugar or water); always mandate a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by third parties like SGS or Intertek to verify the Certificate of Analysis (COA) against the actual cargo.

Lychee is a seasonal fruit (harvested May–July), so securing annual contracts during the harvest season can lock in lower prices. For new suppliers, utilize Letter of Credit (L/C) or Escrow services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon verification of shipping documents. Request a tiered pricing structure where the unit price drops by 5-10% for full container loads (FCL).

Check the HS Code (typically 2009.89) for specific import duties in your country. Ensure the supplier provides a Phytosanitary Certificate and a Certificate of Origin to benefit from Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), which can significantly reduce tariffs. For shipping, prioritize direct sea routes to minimize time in transit, as prolonged exposure to tropical heat at transshipment hubs can affect juice quality.
