Motion sensor security light manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) to ensure energy efficiency, typically looking for >100 lm/W. The Detection Angle should ideally be 180° to 360° depending on the installation site, with a Detection Range of at least 8-12 meters. Additionally, verify the IP Rating (Ingress Protection); for outdoor use, a minimum of IP65 is required to ensure resistance to dust and heavy rain.

For the US market, ensure the products are UL or ETL listed and comply with FCC Part 15 for electromagnetic interference. For the EU, CE marking (LVD and EMC directives) and RoHS compliance are mandatory. If selling in the UK, the UKCA mark is now required. Always request valid test reports from accredited third-party labs like TUV or SGS.

PIR (Passive Infrared) sensors are the industry standard for residential security as they detect heat signatures and reduce false triggers from wind. However, for high-precision needs, Microwave Sensors are superior as they can detect motion through thin walls and glass, though they are more sensitive. Dual-technology sensors (PIR + Microwave) offer the highest reliability by requiring both triggers to activate the light.

Check for the LM-80 test report, which verifies the lumen maintenance of the LED chips over time. A quality security light should offer a lifespan of 50,000 hours. Furthermore, the Heat Sink design is critical; look for die-cast aluminum housing rather than plastic to ensure efficient thermal management, which prevents premature LED failure.

Utilize Secure Payment Services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com, which offer escrow-like protection. Never wire full payments upfront to unverified accounts. Conduct a Factory Audit or hire a third-party inspector to verify the supplier's Business License and production capacity before placing a bulk order.

Request a Tiered Pricing Structure where the unit price decreases as volume increases. If you are a startup, negotiate a lower MOQ for the first trial order by highlighting your long-term growth potential. Always clarify if the quoted price is FOB (Free On Board) or EXW (Ex Works) to avoid hidden logistics costs later.

Ensure the packaging meets ISTA 3A standards to prevent damage during transit. Since these lights often contain sensitive sensors and glass covers, double-corrugated export cartons and internal EPE foam cushioning are essential. For sea freight, ensure the use of desiccants inside the packaging to prevent moisture buildup and circuit corrosion.

Stay updated on HS Code classification (typically 9405.42 for LED lamps) to accurately calculate import duties. Be aware of Anti-Dumping duties that may apply to LED products from specific regions. Consult with a licensed customs broker to ensure all documentation, including the Certificate of Origin, is correctly prepared to benefit from any applicable Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
