Motorcycle brake tester price manufacturers

When evaluating a motorcycle brake tester, you must prioritize measurement accuracy and sensor sensitivity. Look for units with a load cell accuracy of ±1% and a braking force measurement range of at least 0-3000N. Ensure the equipment features high-friction rollers (often coated with corundum or specialized anti-slip materials) to prevent tire slippage during testing. Additionally, verify the maximum axle load capacity (typically 1000kg for standard motorcycles) and the motor power (usually 1.5kW to 3kW) to ensure it can handle various bike weights and engine capacities.

For B2B buyers, compliance is non-negotiable to ensure legal operation in vehicle inspection stations. The equipment should ideally adhere to ISO 21069 (Road vehicles — Test of braking systems) or equivalent regional standards like CE marking for the European market. If you are sourcing for a government-mandated inspection center, ensure the software supports data encryption and tamper-proof logging to meet local transport authority regulations. Always request a Calibration Certificate from the manufacturer before shipment.

The software is a major price driver. Basic models offer simple LED digital displays, while advanced systems include PC-based workstations with database management. Professional-grade testers should offer RS232 or USB interfaces for data export and be compatible with standardized inspection station management systems. Features like automatic printouts of test reports and real-time graphical analysis of braking curves add value but will increase the initial investment cost.

Motorcycle brake testers are precision instruments that require a level concrete foundation for pit-mounted versions or a stable, reinforced floor for surface-mounted models. Maintenance is critical: the rollers must be cleaned weekly to remove rubber residue, and the sensors require recalibration every 6 to 12 months. Buyers should look for suppliers on Made-in-China.com who provide detailed installation manuals, video tutorials, and remote technical support to minimize downtime.

Due to the weight and sensitivity of brake testers, sea freight in reinforced wooden crates (IPPC standard) is mandatory. To mitigate risk, always hire a third-party inspection service (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). This ensures the machine powers on and the sensors respond before the final payment is released. Using Trade Assurance through reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com provides a safety net for your capital.

Negotiation should focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for a breakdown of spare parts (like extra rollers or sensors) included in the package. If purchasing multiple units, aim for a 10-15% volume discount. Furthermore, negotiate the warranty period; while 12 months is standard, pushing for 24 months on core components (motors and load cells) can save significant costs in the long run.

Brake testers are classified as heavy industrial goods. Ensure the supplier provides the HS Code (typically 903180) correctly to avoid customs delays. Confirm whether the price is FOB (Free on Board) or CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight). For heavy equipment, FOB is often preferred for experienced buyers as it allows better control over the shipping timeline and local port fees. Always verify the voltage and frequency compatibility (e.g., 110V/60Hz vs 220V/50Hz) before the production cycle begins.
