Npk 25 5 10 fertilizer manufacturers

NPK 25-5-10 is a high-nitrogen formula primarily used for vegetative growth stages. It is ideal for leafy vegetables, forage crops, lawns, and young fruit trees that require a significant nitrogen boost to develop lush, green foliage. It is also frequently applied in early-season fertilization for field crops like corn or wheat to establish a strong photosynthetic base.

Buyers must confirm the total nutrient content (40%) and the specific forms of nitrogen, such as Ammonium Nitrogen vs. Nitrate Nitrogen, as this affects absorption speed. Additionally, check the granule size uniformity (typically 2-4mm) to ensure compatibility with mechanical spreaders and the moisture content (should be <2%) to prevent caking during long-term storage.

Suppliers should provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. For cross-border trade, ensure the product meets ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental standards. Furthermore, check for compliance with heavy metal limits (Arsenic, Cadmium, Lead) as per the destination country's agricultural regulations, such as the EU Fertilizer Regulation (2019/1009) or local USDA/EPA standards.

The solubility determines whether the product is suitable for fertigation (irrigation systems) or dry soil application. For high-efficiency farming, look for 100% water-soluble grades which leave no residue and prevent clogging of drip emitters. If intended for broadcast spreading, a slow-release coating (like polymer or sulfur coating) can be requested to extend nutrient availability and reduce leaching.

The primary risks include moisture damage during sea transit, which can turn granules into a solid block, and regulatory seizure due to incorrect labeling of hazardous components. Always ensure the supplier uses moisture-proof PE/PP woven bags and provides a valid Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for customs clearance.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers; for NPK 25-5-10, ordering in full container loads (FCL) can reduce unit costs by 15-20% compared to LCL. Additionally, negotiate payment terms linked to third-party inspection results (such as SGS or Intertek) to ensure the nutrient ratio matches the 25-5-10 specification before final payment.

Fertilizers are often classified as dangerous goods (Class 5.1 Oxidizers) depending on their ammonium nitrate content. You must verify the UN Number and Packing Group with the shipping line. For cost-effective transport, utilize bulk vessel shipping for orders over 500 tons, or 20ft containers with heavy-duty liners for standard B2B orders to maximize weight capacity.

When sourcing via Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site verification. Use the Secured Trading Service to protect your funds, ensuring that payment is only released to the supplier after you have confirmed receipt and quality of the fertilizer.
