Oakley glasses manufacturers

When sourcing sports eyewear, you must prioritize optical clarity and impact resistance. Ensure the lenses meet ANSI Z87.1 standards for high-mass and high-velocity impact protection. Look for Plutonite® lens material or high-grade polycarbonate equivalents that provide 100% UVA, UVB, and UVC protection. Additionally, verify the use of Unobtainium® earsocks and nosepads, which increase grip with perspiration, and O Matter™ frame material for lightweight durability and all-day comfort.

To ensure quality, buyers should request detailed factory audit reports and CE/FDA registration certificates. Authentic-grade performance eyewear should feature HDO® (High Definition Optics) technology to prevent image distortion. It is critical to check the hinge mechanism for smoothness and the laser-etched branding for precision. For bulk orders, always request a pre-production sample to verify the Polarized lens efficiency and the integrity of the Prizm™ color-tuning technology if applicable.

Compliance varies by destination: for the United States, products must be registered with the FDA and meet 21 CFR 801.410 (Drop Ball Test) requirements. For the European Union, eyewear must carry the CE Mark and comply with EN ISO 12312-1. Ensure the supplier provides a Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and that all materials are REACH compliant to avoid hazardous substances like lead or phthalates in the plastic frames.

Buyers should select lens types based on the end-user's environment. Prizm™ Road lenses are designed to enhance contrast for cyclists, while Prizm™ Deep Water is optimized for marine environments. For tactical or industrial use, ballistic-rated lenses are required. Ensure the supplier can offer interchangeable lens systems and prescription (RX) compatibility, which are high-demand features in the professional B2B eyewear market.

The biggest risk is Intellectual Property (IP) infringement and the seizure of goods by customs. To mitigate this, ensure the supplier has a valid authorization letter or is an OEM/ODM manufacturer with the rights to produce similar technical designs. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to protect your payment until the goods are verified against the agreed specifications.

Negotiate based on volume-tiered pricing; typically, a 15-25% discount can be achieved for orders exceeding 500 units. Discuss MOQ flexibility for assorted colors or lens types within a single frame style. Always clarify if the unit price includes premium packaging (hard cases, microfiber bags, and branded boxes), as these significantly impact the total landed cost and retail value.

Eyewear is lightweight but high-value and fragile. Use Air Freight or Express Couriers (DHL/FedEx) for faster turnover and reduced handling risks. Ensure the outer cartons are double-walled and each unit is protected by bubble wrap or foam inserts. For large sea freight shipments, specify palletization to prevent crushing and include desiccant packs to avoid moisture damage to lens coatings during transit.

Never wire funds to personal accounts; always use corporate accounts verified by the platform. Utilize Third-party Inspection Services (such as SGS or Intertek) to conduct a Final Random Inspection (FRI) before the balance payment is made. This ensures the VLT (Visible Light Transmission) levels and frame tension meet your specific requirements before the goods leave the factory.
