Selecting the correct airflow is critical for finish quality and safety. Crossdraft booths are the most economical, pulling air across the object, but may trap more dust. Downdraft booths provide the cleanest environment by pulling air from the ceiling to the floor, though they require a pit or raised basement. Semi-downdraft offers a middle ground, pulling air in from the ceiling and out through the rear. Ensure the system maintains a constant air velocity of at least 100 feet per minute (fpm) to effectively remove overspray.
