Potassium chlorate 99.5% manufacturers

For industrial and laboratory applications, the purity must be ≥99.5%. Key chemical parameters include moisture content (≤0.05%), water-insoluble matter (≤0.02%), and chloride content (as Cl ≤0.02%). The particle size or mesh count (e.g., 80-100 mesh) is also vital as it affects the reaction rate in pyrotechnic or chemical synthesis applications.

Potassium Chlorate is a Class 5.1 Oxidizing Agent. Suppliers must provide a valid Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS/SDS) compliant with GHS standards. For international trade, ensure the product has a COA (Certificate of Analysis) for each batch and complies with REACH (for EU markets) or specific Precursor Chemical Regulations in the destination country.

It is extensively used in the match industry for ignition heads, in pyrotechnics and explosives as an oxidizer, and in agriculture as a flower-inducing agent (specifically for longan trees). It also finds application in oxygen generation systems and as a disinfectant in specific chemical processes.

Standard packaging involves 25kg or 50kg plastic woven bags with an inner PE liner. For long-distance sea freight, UN-approved iron drums are recommended to prevent puncture and moisture ingress. Ensure all packaging carries the Class 5.1 Oxidizer yellow diamond label and the UN Number (UN1485).

This is a Dangerous Good (DG) and cannot be shipped via standard courier or air freight without specialized certification. It must be shipped via DG-certified sea containers. You must ensure the supplier provides a 'Dangerous Goods Package Certificate' to facilitate customs clearance and vessel booking.

Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to protect your payment. Always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek to verify the 99.5% purity and chemical composition before the balance payment is released.

Potassium Chlorate is often flagged as a precursor for explosives. Many countries require an Import License or an End-User Certificate (EUC). Verify your local regulations to ensure you have the legal right to possess and store this substance before initiating a cross-border contract.

Focus on batch consistency rather than just the lowest price. Ask for volume-based pricing tiers (e.g., 20ft FCL vs. LCL). Reliable suppliers on Made-in-China.com will often offer a 5-10% discount for long-term supply contracts or annual volume commitments.
