Stone flour mill manufacturers

The quality of the flour depends heavily on the stone type. You should prioritize natural green sandstone or granite, as these materials are hard, wear-resistant, and heat-resistant. Ensure the stone is non-toxic and radiation-free to meet food safety standards. Natural stone is preferred over synthetic options because it maintains a low temperature during grinding, which preserves the nutrients, enzymes, and original aroma of the grain.

Key specifications include the rotational speed, which should ideally be low (around 20-30 RPM) to prevent overheating the flour. Check the motor power and transmission system; a high-quality pure copper motor ensures stability and longevity. Additionally, verify the grinding disc diameter (common sizes range from 45cm to 100cm) to ensure it matches your required production capacity (kg/h).

Since this is food processing equipment, the supplier must provide CE certification for the European market or comply with FDA standards for the US. The parts in contact with the grain, such as the hopper and discharge chute, should be made of food-grade 304 stainless steel. Ask for material test reports to confirm the stone does not contain harmful heavy metals.

A professional stone mill should have a service life of over 10-20 years for the stone itself. Inquire about the stone dressing (sharpening) frequency; high-quality stones only need dressing after processing several tons of grain. Ensure the supplier provides a detailed maintenance manual and offers replacement parts like bearings and belts, which are common wear items.

The main risk is structural damage or cracking due to the weight and brittleness of the stone. You must insist on fumigated solid wooden crate packaging with internal shock-absorbing foam and steel strapping. It is highly recommended to purchase All-Risk Marine Insurance to cover potential damage during sea transit.

Request a live video factory audit via platforms like Made-in-China.com to see the machines in operation. Check if the supplier has SGS or TÜV Rheinland field certification. Always request a test run video using your specific type of grain (e.g., wheat, corn, or rice) to verify the fineness of the output powder before final payment.

For heavy machinery, FOB (Free On Board) is often preferred as it allows you to control the shipping costs through your own forwarder. However, if you are a first-time buyer, CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) might be easier. Be aware of Import Duties and HS Codes (typically under Chapter 84 for machinery) to calculate the total landed cost accurately.

Use Secured Trading Services provided by reputable B2B platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is only released after you confirm receipt of the goods. Avoid direct transfers to private bank accounts; always use the official corporate account listed on the proforma invoice.
