Sun screen wipes factory manufacturers

When evaluating sun screen wipes, you must prioritize the SPF (Sun Protection Factor) rating and Broad-Spectrum protection (UVA/UVB). The formulation should be alcohol-free and paraben-free to prevent skin irritation. Additionally, check the substrate material; high-quality wipes use non-woven fabric or biodegradable bamboo fibers with a thickness of at least 45-60 GSM to ensure the wipe doesn't tear during application and holds sufficient liquid formula.

Sunscreen is classified as a cosmetic or over-the-counter (OTC) drug in many regions. Ensure the factory is ISO 22716 (GMP for Cosmetics) certified. For the US market, the facility must be FDA registered, and for the EU, products must comply with EC No. 1223/2009 and have a PIF (Product Information File). Always request a COA (Certificate of Analysis) and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for every production batch.

Request stability testing reports to ensure the active ingredients (like Zinc Oxide or Avobenzone) remain effective for the duration of the 2-3 year shelf life. The packaging must feature a high-barrier foil lining to prevent the evaporation of the formula. You should also ask for dermatological test results to confirm the product is 'Hypoallergenic' or 'Safe for Sensitive Skin' if you intend to market those claims.

A top-tier factory should offer custom scent profiles, adjustable SPF levels, and various packaging formats such as single-sachet travel packs or multi-count flip-top canisters. Ensure they can provide private label printing using UV-resistant inks that won't fade or bleed when exposed to the sunscreen formula itself.

The biggest risk is formula separation or drying out during long-term sea freight due to high temperatures in containers. Mitigate this by requesting accelerated aging tests and ensuring the outer cartons are double-walled corrugated boxes. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to hold payment until a third-party inspection (like SGS or Intertek) confirms the moisture content and seal integrity before shipment.

MOQs for custom liquid formulations are typically high (e.g., 10,000 to 30,000 units). To lower costs, negotiate based on annual volume rather than a single order. Ask for a tiered pricing structure where the unit price drops by 5-10% as you move from 10k to 50k units. Always clarify if the quoted price includes FOB (Free On Board) costs, as liquid-heavy products significantly impact shipping weight and total landed cost.

Since sunscreen contains chemical actives, some customs authorities may flag it for quarantine or chemical inspection. Ensure all HS Codes (typically 3304.99) are correctly declared. For shipping to the US or Europe, ensure the ingredient list (INCI) is clearly printed on the primary packaging in the local language to avoid customs seizures due to labeling non-compliance.

Conduct a factory audit via video call or hire a local agent to verify the production lines. Prioritize suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have the Audited Supplier badge, which indicates their business license and production capabilities have been verified by independent third parties. Always use formal Sales Contracts that specify the exact SPF level and ingredient percentages to protect your legal interests.
