Textile sizing wax price manufacturers

High-quality sizing wax must provide excellent lubricity and smoothness to the yarn surface to reduce the coefficient of friction during weaving. It should have a melting point between 50°C and 65°C to ensure stability at room temperature while being easily emulsified in the sizing bath. Furthermore, the wax must be 100% water-soluble or easily emulsifiable to ensure it can be completely removed during the desizing process, preventing dyeing defects in subsequent stages.

The price is primarily driven by the active ingredient content (solids) and the type of base material used, such as synthetic esters, refined paraffin, or polyethylene wax. Products with antistatic properties and high-speed weaving compatibility command a premium. Buyers should compare the effective concentration rather than just the unit price, as high-concentration waxes allow for lower dosage rates, improving overall cost-efficiency.

For international trade, especially to the EU and US markets, the wax must be REACH compliant and free from APEO (Alkylphenol Ethoxylates) and PFCs. Suppliers should provide a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and certifications like OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 to guarantee that the chemical residues on the finished textile do not exceed safety limits.

For air-jet looms, a wax with superior film-forming properties and high antistatic capability is required to handle high-speed friction. For shuttle looms or slower machinery, a standard emulsified paraffin wax may suffice. Buyers must specify their loom RPM and yarn type (cotton, polyester, or blends) to ensure the supplier provides a formulation with the correct viscosity and moisture retention.

The primary risk is quality inconsistency between batches, which can lead to yarn breakage or uneven dyeing. To mitigate this, always request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) and a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every lot. Additionally, be aware of leakage risks during maritime transport; ensure the supplier uses UN-approved HDPE drums or reinforced packaging to withstand temperature fluctuations in containers.

Focus on annual volume commitments rather than one-off spot buys to secure tier-1 pricing. Negotiate for free samples (5-10kg) for pilot testing on your specific looms. For long-term partnerships, request flexible payment terms such as L/C (Letter of Credit) or Net 30 days after establishing a successful transaction history through secure trade services.

Textile sizing wax is generally classified as non-hazardous, but you must ensure the HS Code (typically 3404 or 3809) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays. Verify if the destination country imposes anti-dumping duties on specific chemical imports. For shipping, FCL (Full Container Load) is recommended to prevent cross-contamination with other goods, and you should confirm the shelf life (usually 12-24 months) to manage inventory turnover.

Always conduct transactions through verified suppliers on professional platforms like Made-in-China.com, prioritizing those with Audited Supplier status. Use Trade Assurance or escrow-like services to ensure payment is only released upon confirmation of shipping documents. Avoid direct transfers to private bank accounts; always use the official corporate account listed in the supplier's verified profile.
