Uv sun sheet price manufacturers

When selecting UV sun sheets, the primary choice is between Polycarbonate (PC) and Acrylic (PMMA). For high-impact resistance (e.g., hail or falling debris), Polycarbonate is 200 times stronger than glass and is the industry standard. Ensure the sheet has a co-extruded UV protection layer (typically 50 microns) on at least one side to prevent yellowing and brittleness. For aesthetic clarity and scratch resistance in low-impact areas, Acrylic offers superior light transmission (up to 92%) and better long-term clarity.

The price is heavily influenced by thickness (ranging from 4mm to 16mm for multi-wall) and gram weight per square meter. Higher density indicates better structural integrity. For thermal insulation, Multi-wall (Twin-wall or Triple-wall) structures are more cost-effective for greenhouses and roofing than solid sheets. Always verify the light transmission rate and the shading coefficient to ensure the product meets your specific climate control needs.

To ensure safety and legality in international markets, products should meet ASTM D1929 for self-ignition temperatures and EN 13501-1 for fire classification (typically Class B-s1, d0). For the US market, UL 94 flammability ratings are essential. Buyers should request ISO 9001 certification from the manufacturer to guarantee consistent batch quality and material purity, avoiding the use of recycled 'regrind' plastic which significantly reduces lifespan.

Calculate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the initial purchase price. A cheaper sheet without UV stabilization may fail within 2 years, whereas a high-quality sheet with a 10-year limited warranty provides better ROI. Consider the standard sheet sizes (e.g., 2.1m x 5.8m) to minimize cutting waste and reduce labor costs during installation. Bulk orders typically see a 10-15% price reduction when reaching Full Container Load (FCL) quantities.

The biggest risk is material substitution, where suppliers use recycled materials instead of 100% virgin Lexan or Makrolon resins, leading to premature yellowing. Another risk is shipping damage; large sheets are prone to cracking or scratching if not packed with PE protective film on both sides and secured in wooden pallets or crates. Always use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to mitigate payment risks.

Focus your negotiation on the weight per square meter and the brand of raw materials used. Request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek to verify the UV layer thickness using a professional gauge. For long-term partnerships, negotiate Incoterms like FOB (Free On Board) to maintain control over your shipping costs and logistics, especially since sun sheets are high-volume, low-weight items that can incur high 'dim-weight' shipping charges.

Due to the large dimensions of UV sun sheets, Sea Freight (FCL) is the most economical method. Ensure the container is loaded with moisture-absorbent bags to prevent condensation between sheets, which can damage the protective film. For LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments, insist on reinforced edge protection and 'Do Not Stack' labels to prevent heavy cargo from being placed on top of the sheets.
