Wholesale sarong manufacturers

The choice of fabric determines the product's market positioning. For high-end beachwear, prioritize 100% Rayon (Viscose) due to its superior drape and breathability. For budget-friendly promotional items, Polyester is more durable and wrinkle-resistant. Ensure the fabric weight is between 100-140 GSM to balance opacity with a lightweight feel. Always verify colorfastness to water and light (Grade 4 or higher) to prevent fading from sun and salt exposure.

Request suppliers to use Eco-friendly reactive dyes which offer better skin safety and softer hand-feel compared to pigment prints. For complex patterns, Digital Printing is preferred for high resolution, while Screen Printing is more cost-effective for large bulk orders. Ensure the products comply with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 or REACH regulations to guarantee the absence of harmful azo dyes and formaldehyde.

Look for suppliers offering versatile sizing, typically a standard 110cm x 170cm or 120cm x 180cm, to accommodate various tying styles. Check for hemming quality; double-stitched or rolled hems prevent fraying. If sourcing for a brand, confirm if the supplier provides custom labeling, hangtags, and individual eco-friendly packaging to enhance retail readiness.

For the US market, ensure compliance with CPSIA (especially if marketed for children) and FTC labeling requirements (fiber content and country of origin). For the EU, REACH certification is mandatory. If you are targeting the sustainable niche, look for suppliers with GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) or GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certifications on Made-in-China.com.

Always order a pre-production sample to verify the fabric texture and print accuracy. Utilize third-party inspection services (like V-Trust or SGS) to conduct a During Production Check (DUPRO) or a Final Random Inspection (FRI) before the balance payment is made. This ensures the bulk goods match the approved sample.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 500, 1000, and 5000 units) to understand the supplier's scalability. Request shorter lead times during off-peak seasons and negotiate a 30% deposit / 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) to protect your cash flow.

Sarongs are high-volume but low-weight items. For small batches, Air Express is fast but expensive. For wholesale volumes, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical. Ensure the supplier uses moisture-proof inner packaging (silica gel packets and polybags) to prevent mold growth during long-duration sea transit through humid tropical zones.

Conduct transactions through secured payment channels provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Look for Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site verification by independent inspection companies. This reduces the risk of dealing with non-existent 'trading shells' and ensures you are working with legitimate factories.
