Wholesale strawberry jam manufacturers

When sourcing strawberry jam, the Fruit Content (Brix value) is the most critical metric; premium jams typically have a fruit-to-sugar ratio of at least 45:55. Look for products that specify 'Whole Fruit' or 'Large Fruit Pieces' rather than pureed pulp to ensure a premium texture. Additionally, verify the Brix level (usually 60-70%) to ensure the sweetness and thickness meet your specific market or industrial application needs.

To ensure consumer safety and smooth customs clearance, suppliers must hold HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and ISO 22000 certifications. For specific markets, check for FDA registration (USA), BRC (British Retail Consortium), or IFS (International Featured Standards). If targeting niche markets, ensure the supplier can provide Halal, Kosher, or Organic (USDA/EU) certifications.

The choice of packaging depends on the end-use: Glass jars (250g-500g) are ideal for retail, while Aseptic bags in drums (200kg+) or plastic buckets (5kg-25kg) are better for bakery and industrial use. Ensure the packaging is BPA-free and features vacuum-sealing technology to maintain a shelf life of 18 to 24 months without the need for excessive artificial preservatives.

For B2B buyers in the baking industry, Bake-stability is crucial. You must confirm with the supplier if the jam is thermostable, meaning it won't boil over, bleed, or lose color when exposed to high temperatures (up to 200°C). Also, check the pH level (typically 3.0-3.5) and Pectin type to ensure the gel strength is compatible with your production machinery.

Always request Temperature-Controlled Containers (Reefers) if the jam is low-sugar or lacks strong preservatives, although most high-Brix jams are shelf-stable. Ensure the supplier uses heavy-duty corrugated pallets and shrink-wrapping to prevent jar breakage. It is highly recommended to use Made-in-China.com's inspection services to verify the production date and seal integrity before the container is loaded.

Focus on Volume-Based Pricing Tiers; for example, ordering a full 20ft container can often reduce the unit price by 15-20% compared to LCL (Less than Container Load) orders. Negotiate for OEM/Private Labeling services early, as many top-tier manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer free label design and application if the MOQ (usually 500-1000 units) is met.

Ensure the Labeling Compliance matches the destination country's laws, including Ingredient Lists in the local language, Nutritional Facts panels, and Country of Origin markings. Request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch to prove the absence of heavy metals, pesticide residues, and unauthorized colorants (like Sudan Red), which are common targets for customs laboratory testing.

Utilize Secured Payment Terms such as Letters of Credit (L/C) or payment systems provided by Made-in-China.com that offer escrow-like protection. Never wire full payments to personal bank accounts; always ensure the Beneficiary Name matches the Company Name on the business license and the audited supplier profile.
