Wholesale wedding apparel manufacturers

When sourcing wedding apparel, prioritize multi-layer construction and high-grade materials. Ensure the use of authentic bridal satin, 395 satin, or high-density tulle to prevent transparency. For structured gowns, verify the presence of 10-15 integrated fishbone supports and built-in padded cups to ensure the silhouette holds shape. Always check for neat stitching (at least 10 stitches per inch) and ensure that beading or sequins are hand-sewn rather than glued to prevent detachment during transit or fitting.

Sizing is the most common cause for returns in wedding apparel. You should request a detailed size chart that includes bust, waist, hips, and hollow-to-floor measurements. For wholesale orders, it is highly recommended to choose suppliers who offer lace-up (corset) backs, as they provide a flexible fit range of ±3cm, reducing the need for expensive local alterations. If ordering fixed-size zippers, ensure the supplier leaves a 2-5cm seam allowance inside for easy adjustments.

Ensure all garments comply with the Textile Fiber Products Identification Act (for the US) or REACH regulations (for the EU). Labels must clearly state fiber content, country of origin, and care instructions. For children's wedding wear (flower girl dresses), verify compliance with flammability standards (e.g., 16 CFR Part 1610) and ensure that small decorative parts like pearls meet lead content and choking hazard safety regulations.

Professional suppliers should be able to work from high-resolution inspiration photos or CAD sketches. Ask if they provide pre-production samples and if they can source specific French lace or Swarovski crystals upon request. A top-tier manufacturer on Made-in-China.com will typically offer private labeling services and the ability to modify necklines, sleeve lengths, or train styles to suit your specific market trends.

Wedding apparel is highly visual. To avoid 'expectation vs. reality' issues, request real-life photos and videos of the dress on a mannequin in natural light before shipping. Avoid relying solely on professional catalog photos. Utilize third-party inspection services to verify fabric weight and embroidery quality at the factory. Using Secured Trading Services on Made-in-China.com ensures your payment is only released after you confirm the goods meet the agreed specifications.

Wedding dresses are bulky and prone to wrinkling. For wholesale quantities, use vacuum packaging to reduce volume and shipping costs, but ensure the supplier uses acid-free tissue paper between layers to prevent color transfer or snagging. For high-end gowns, request hanging garment containers or reinforced 5-layer corrugated boxes. Always include silica gel desiccant packets to prevent moisture and mildew during long-distance sea freight.

The peak production season usually falls between January and April. To secure better pricing, place orders during the off-peak season (July-September). Negotiate a tiered pricing structure where the unit price drops by 10-20% for orders exceeding 50 pieces. Ensure the contract specifies a guaranteed lead time (typically 30-45 days) with a penalty clause for delays, as wedding dates are fixed and late delivery can result in total loss of sale.

Wedding apparel often carries high import duties due to its classification as luxury textile goods. Check the HS Code (typically 6204.42 or 6204.43) for your specific country. Consider DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms if you want the supplier to handle all customs formalities, or FOB (Free On Board) if you have a reliable freight forwarder who can optimize your tax declarations and manage local customs clearance efficiently.
