The infill—typically SBR rubber granules, TPE, or organic cork—is vital for shock absorption and player safety. SBR is the most cost-effective but can retain heat; TPE and EPDM offer better environmental profiles and lower heat retention. You must verify the infill density requirements with the supplier, as improper infill levels can lead to premature fiber matting and increased injury risks.

While 'low maintenance,' these pitches are not 'no maintenance.' Regular brushing (every 30-40 hours of use) is required to keep fibers upright and redistribute infill. You should also check for drainage efficiency; a high-quality pitch should have a drainage capacity of at least 180mm/h to prevent waterlogging during heavy rain.

The biggest risks are color batch inconsistency and yarn fibrillation issues. To mitigate this, always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) and a production sample from the actual batch being shipped. Ensure the supplier provides a UV stability warranty of 5-8 years, as inferior yarns will fade and become brittle within 12-18 months under high solar radiation.

Artificial turf is extremely heavy and bulky, usually shipped in 4-meter wide rolls. This requires 40HQ containers for cost-efficiency. Negotiate FOB (Free On Board) terms if you have a reliable freight forwarder, or CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) if you want the supplier to handle the risk until the destination port.
