For electronic components, ensure solder joints are lead-free and robust enough to withstand vibration.

To maximize margins, consider purchasing toys without the batteries included to reduce shipping weight and avoid 'Dangerous Goods' surcharges. However, if batteries are included, bulk purchasing (MOQ 1000+ units) can typically reduce unit costs by 15-25%. Negotiate for FOB (Free On Board) terms if you have a reliable freight forwarder, as this often provides better transparency than CIF for high-volume toy shipments.

Batteries are classified as Dangerous Goods (DG). You must ensure the supplier provides a valid UN38.3 Test Report and an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet).
