Ensure the machine supports servo-driven systems for high precision and energy efficiency. Additionally, verify the maximum bottle volume (e.g., 0.5L, 2L, or 5L) and neck diameter compatibility to ensure the equipment meets your specific packaging requirements.

For the European market, the machine must have a CE Certification to meet safety, health, and environmental protection requirements. For the US market, UL or ETL standards for electrical components are essential. Since these machines often produce food-grade packaging, ensure the manufacturer adheres to ISO 9001:2015 for quality management and that the final bottles can meet FDA or REACH chemical safety standards.

The most common material is PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate), which requires a two-stage stretch blow molding process. If you are producing milk or chemical bottles using HDPE or PP, you will need an Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) machine. Ensure the machine's heating system (Infrared lamps) is adjustable to handle different preform wall thicknesses and colors to prevent deformation or uneven transparency.

Regular maintenance should focus on the pneumatic components and high-pressure valves, which are critical for consistent bottle formation. The mold cooling system must be checked for scale buildup to prevent overheating. We recommend choosing suppliers who provide wear-and-tear spare parts kits (such as seals, O-rings, and heating lamps) and offer remote PLC diagnostic support to minimize downtime.

Always conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) through third-party agencies like SGS or Intertek. Request a FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) video where the machine runs at full speed for at least 2-4 hours using your specific preforms. For secure transactions, use Escrow services or Letter of Credit (L/C) to ensure payment is only released upon verification of shipping documents and quality compliance.

Machinery should be packed in fumigated wooden cases (IPPC standard) to prevent moisture and physical damage. Ensure the supplier uses anti-rust oil on core components and secures the machine with internal bracing to prevent shifting inside the container. For large production lines, Flat Rack containers may be necessary, and you should clarify Incoterms (preferably CIF or DAP) to define insurance responsibilities clearly.

Focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the sticker price. Negotiate for an extended warranty (18-24 months) and the inclusion of free installation and operator training. If purchasing multiple units or a complete line (including air compressors and chillers), request a system integration discount of 5-10%. Always verify the supplier's 'Audit Reports' on the platform to confirm their manufacturing scale.
