Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) to verify the fit on a standard fit model before authorizing bulk cutting.

Focus on seam strength and finishing. Formal gowns should utilize French seams or overlocked edges with no loose threads. Check for zipper fluidity (preferably YKK or high-quality invisible zippers) and ensure beading or sequins are secured with double-lock stitching. A AQL 2.5/4.0 inspection standard is recommended for bulk orders to manage defect rates effectively.

Products must comply with the Textile Fiber Products Identification Act (US) or Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011, requiring labels that state fiber content, country of origin (Made in China), and care instructions. Clearly define technical specifications in the Proforma Invoice (PI), and hire a third-party inspection agency (such as SGS or Intertek) to conduct a During Production Check (DUPRO) and a Final Random Inspection (FRI) before the final payment is released.

For custom gowns, typical lead times are 30-45 days. To lower Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs), suggest using in-stock fabrics available in the supplier's warehouse, which can reduce MOQs from 500 pieces to as low as 50-100 pieces per color. Always negotiate a tiered pricing structure where the unit price decreases as volume increases.

For large volumes, Sea Freight (FCL or LCL) is the most economical, though it takes 20-40 days.
