Aerosols are ideal for retail and small-scale maintenance, offering convenience, whereas bulk liquid concentrates are suited for industrial HVAC contractors. Chemicals are often classified as Class 8 (Corrosive) or Class 9 (Miscellaneous) dangerous goods. This leads to higher freight costs and stricter documentation requirements. To mitigate risks, ensure the supplier provides a Certificate for Safe Transport of Chemical Goods and uses leak-proof, reinforced packaging to prevent environmental hazards during sea or air transit.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site inspections by third-party agencies like SGS or Intertek. Request a pre-shipment sample to test the chemical's reaction on specific metal alloys. Additionally, use secured payment terms and look for suppliers with a high 'Transaction Level' to ensure financial security and order fulfillment reliability.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers; chemical production is highly sensitive to economies of scale, and ordering in full container loads (FCL) can significantly reduce the unit price. Negotiate for customized labeling (OEM) and specific packaging sizes (e.g., 5L vs 20L) to better suit your local market demand, and clarify the shelf-life guarantee, which should ideally be 24 months or longer.

Check the HS Code (typically 3402.90) for specific import duties in your country. Be aware of anti-dumping duties that some regions apply to chemical exports from specific origins.
