Glass is fragile, so you must mandate Export-Standard Packaging. For bulk shipments, ensure the use of fumigated pallets with plastic wrap and corner protectors. It is advisable to include a 2%-3% breakage allowance in the contract or request the supplier to provide extra units to cover potential transit damage.

Focus on Molding Fees and MOQs. Custom shapes require new molds, which can cost between $1,500 to $5,000. Negotiate for a Mold Fee Refund once your cumulative order volume reaches a certain threshold (e.g., 50,000 units). Never release the final payment until a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) is conducted by a third party. The inspector should check for glass bubbles, scratches, uneven bases, and pump functionality. Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties that some countries (like the US or EU) may impose on specific glass products from certain regions.
