Check for certifications like FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) for paper-based packaging and ISO 14001 for environmental management systems to ensure the supplier follows green manufacturing practices.

For slippers, evaluate the sole thickness (EVA or rubber), where a minimum of 4mm to 6mm is recommended for guest safety and comfort. For towels and bathrobes, focus on GSM (Grams per Square Meter); high-quality hotel towels usually range from 450 to 600 GSM. Ensure the fabric is pre-shrunk and has high colorfastness to chlorine bleaching to withstand industrial laundering.

A top-tier supplier should offer OEM/ODM services including silk-screen printing, UV printing, or hot stamping for logos. They should be able to provide Pantone color matching for liquids and packaging to align with your hotel's brand identity. Request digital mock-ups and physical pre-production samples to verify logo placement and scent accuracy before mass production.

Ensure the supplier uses induction foil seals on all liquid bottles and double-wall corrugated export cartons. Request that pallets are shrink-wrapped and reinforced with corner protectors. It is advisable to conduct a ISTA 1A drop test on the packaging to ensure it can withstand the rigors of sea or air freight.

Focus on tiered pricing based on volume; for hotel amenities, a 10-15% price reduction is often achievable when moving from a trial order to a full container load (FCL). Negotiate for free spare parts (e.g., 2% extra bottle caps or packaging) to cover potential damages.
