Key specs include hardness (Shore D 80-85), concentricity tolerance (<0.1mm), and groove surface smoothness. Always request a Material Test Report (MTR) and a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) to ensure the product can withstand the rated speed and load of the elevator system.

The bearing is the heart of the pulley. Specify top-tier brands (e.g., SKF, NSK, or high-quality domestic equivalents) with double-shielded (ZZ) or sealed (2RS) designs to prevent dust ingress. The fit between the nylon body and the outer ring of the bearing must be a thermal interference fit to prevent loosening during high-speed operation.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for extended warranties (24-36 months) and ask for tiered pricing based on annual volume forecasts. For first-time orders, suggest a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) to ensure leverage over quality.

Nylon is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture), which can lead to dimensional changes. Ensure the supplier uses vacuum-sealed packaging or moisture-proof crates. For heavy bulk orders, specify FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over the shipping line and avoid inflated 'hidden' destination charges common in CIF terms.
