Ensure the track system is rated for at least 100,000 cycles of opening and closing.

For standard interior room dividers, 8mm to 10mm tempered glass is usually sufficient. For heavy-duty commercial entrances or large-scale patio doors, 12mm glass is recommended for structural rigidity. Thicker glass provides better sound insulation and wind pressure resistance, but requires heavy-duty track systems capable of supporting the increased weight (often exceeding 80kg per panel).

Since there is no frame, sealing depends on translucent PVC or silicone magnetic strips. Look for UV-resistant seals to prevent yellowing over time. For better acoustic performance, specify minimal gaps (3-5mm) between panels and consider bottom brush seals or recessed floor tracks to minimize air and sound leakage.

Standard packaging is insufficient for frameless glass. Insist on customized plywood crates (fumigation-free) with cork pads or EPE foam separating each glass sheet. Ensure the supplier uses corner protectors and secures the crates to prevent shifting inside the container. Look for Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site verification by third-party agencies like SGS or Intertek. Check their Gold Member status and transaction history. Request a video factory tour to inspect their glass tempering furnace and CNC cutting machines. A reliable supplier should be able to provide CAD shop drawings for your approval before production begins.

Frameless doors require high precision; a 1% measurement error can render the glass useless. Request detailed installation manuals and video tutorials in English. Confirm the supplier's warranty policy—top-tier manufacturers offer 3-5 years on hardware and a guarantee against spontaneous glass explosion (nickel sulfide inclusions). Ensure they can provide replacement hardware via express air courier if defects are found.
