H07RN-F is a heavy-duty rubber flexible cable designed for high mechanical stress. You must ensure the conductor is Class 5 flexible plain copper according to BS EN 60228. The insulation must be EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) and the outer sheath should be PCP (Polychloroprene) or equivalent synthetic elastomer. Verify the voltage rating of 450/750V and an operating temperature range of -25°C to +60°C (up to +90°C for fixed installations).

As a harmonized cable, it must comply with EN 50525-2-21. For the European market, CE Marking and RoHS compliance are non-negotiable. If you are exporting to the UK, UKCA marking is required. For high-end industrial projects, look for VDE (Germany) or BASEC (UK) third-party certifications, as these provide a higher level of quality assurance than self-declaration.

The primary advantage of H07RN-F is its resistance. Confirm with the supplier that the cable is UV resistant, oil resistant, and flame retardant (IEC 60332-1-2). For marine or outdoor event applications, request test reports confirming water resistance (AD7 immersion). Ask for the minimum bending radius data (usually 6 to 8 times the overall diameter) to ensure it meets your specific installation requirements.

For mobile power supplies and construction sites, prioritize cables with enhanced abrasion resistance. For stage lighting and audiovisual equipment, flexibility and a matte black finish to prevent light reflection are key. If used for submersible pumps, you must specify a version rated for permanent submersion (H07RN8-F), as standard H07RN-F is only splash-resistant.

Cable pricing is heavily tied to LME (London Metal Exchange) copper prices. When negotiating, establish a price adjustment formula based on the copper cathode spot price. For large orders, consider locking in the copper price at the time of the deposit to avoid unexpected surcharges before shipment.

The drum ends must be sealed with heat-shrink caps to prevent moisture ingress into the copper conductors. For LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments, ensure the drums are properly palletized and shrink-wrapped.
