Always mandate a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) before final payment. For HFO generators, this should include a load bank test at 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, and 110% (overload) capacity. You must confirm if the supplier provides seaworthy packaging, including VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) anti-rust film and vacuum sealing for the alternator. Ensure the shipping quote specifies Breakbulk or Flat Rack container requirements and clarify who is responsible for inland transit insurance from the factory to the Port of Shanghai or Ningbo.

Negotiate a 'First-Fill' spare parts kit (filters, gaskets, injectors) to be included in the initial purchase, covering the first 2,000 hours of operation. Ensure the supplier provides a written guarantee of parts availability for at least 10 years and confirm if they offer remote technical support via PLC integration for real-time troubleshooting.
