Fragility is the biggest risk. Insist on ISTA-3A or ISTA-6A drop-test standard packaging, which includes honeycomb cardboard, reinforced corner protectors, and 5-layer corrugated boxes. For bulk sea freight, mirrors should be packed in wooden crates or pallets to prevent compression damage. Always include a breakage allowance clause in your contract.

Focus on the component breakdown rather than just the final price. Negotiate based on the type of glass (tempered vs. float) and the brand of the LED driver. If you are placing a large order, request 1-2% spare parts (such as extra touch sensors or LED drivers) to be included free of charge to handle future warranty claims locally.

The inspection must include a High-Voltage (Hi-Pot) Test to ensure electrical safety and a Function Test for the touch sensors and defogger. Check the silvering quality by looking for bubbles or scratches under high-intensity light. Verify that the silicone sealant used for waterproofing the backbox is applied neatly and consistently.
