The case should feature a raised bezel (at least 1.2mm) to protect the screen and camera lens. For functional fit, verify precise CNC mold cutouts for ports and tactile button responsiveness. If sourcing for latest models, ensure the case supports MagSafe or Qi wireless charging compatibility without signal interference.

Buyers should look for advanced printing and molding techniques. IMD (In-Mould Decoration) and IML (In-Mould Labeling) are superior for long-lasting patterns that won't peel. UV Printing is cost-effective for small batches, while Laser Engraving is ideal for leather or wood cases. For high-end branding, inquire about Double-Injection Molding which allows for multi-color and multi-material integration in a single shell.

For the US market, ensure compliance with California Proposition 65 regarding lead and phthalate content. For the EU, RoHS and REACH certifications are mandatory. Additionally, with the rising demand for sustainability, sourcing Biodegradable (PBAT/PLA) or GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified recycled plastics can provide a significant competitive advantage in Western markets.

Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) before authorizing mass production. Use a third-party inspection service (like V-Trust or QIMA) to perform a During Production Check (DUPRO) or a Final Random Inspection (FRI). Focus on mold precision; even a 0.1mm deviation can result in a loose fit for flagship models like iPhone or Samsung Galaxy series.

Focus on tiered pricing based on volume and ask for mold fee rebates once a certain order volume (e.g., 5,000 units) is reached. Negotiate payment terms such as a 30% deposit and 70% balance after inspection but before shipment. For long-term partnerships, request exclusive access to new model molds 2-4 weeks before official phone launches.

Ensure the supplier has the legal right to produce specific designs or branded logos. If you are providing the design, sign a Non-Disclosure and Non-Use Agreement (NNN).
