If the product involves welding, inspect for intergranular corrosion at the joints; high-quality suppliers use TIG welding with proper passivation treatments to restore the chromium oxide protective layer.

The most common risk is material substitution, where a supplier uses Grade 201 instead of Grade 304 to save costs. To mitigate this, utilize Third-Party Inspections (such as SGS or TÜV) to conduct a PMI (Positive Material Identification) test using an XRF analyzer before the final balance payment.
