A complete storage solution should include level sensors (ultrasonic or radar) for real-time inventory monitoring, temperature transmitters, and agitation systems if the raw material is prone to sedimentation. For outdoor tanks, insulation layers (rock wool or polyurethane) and steam heating jackets are vital to maintain viscosity in cold climates.

Storage tanks are often 'out of gauge' (OOG) cargo. You must decide between Breakbulk shipping or using Flat Rack containers. To minimize costs, consider SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) delivery where the tank is welded on-site, though this requires hiring certified local welders.
