Forged Rims provide the highest strength and lowest weight but come at a premium price. Verify that the supplier uses a multi-stage coating process, including a powder primer, color coat, and clear topcoat. The biggest risks are structural defects (micro-cracks) and shipping damage. Unlike textiles, a cracked rim is a life-safety issue. To mitigate this, use X-ray inspection during production. Regarding logistics, ensure the supplier uses reinforced double-wall corrugated boxes with protective plastic rings and non-woven fabric covers to prevent lip damage and scratches during sea transit.

Negotiate for free mold development if your annual volume exceeds 1,000 units per design.
