The longevity of the enclosure depends on its hardware. For frames, 6463-T5 aluminum alloy is the industry standard for its excellent corrosion resistance and polishing brightness. For hinges, rollers, and handles, 304 stainless steel or solid brass is preferred over zinc alloy to prevent rusting in humid environments. Ensure the anodized layer thickness is ≥10μm or the powder coating is uniform to resist peeling.

To add value to your product line, look for Easy-Clean (Nano-coating) technology, which makes the glass water-repellent and prevents limescale buildup. For sliding doors, specify double-wheel stainless steel rollers with a spring-release function for smooth operation and easy cleaning of the tracks. For pivot doors, ensure the lifting hinge mechanism is used to prevent the bottom seal from dragging on the floor.

A high-quality enclosure must have a superior sealing system. Check for magnetic PVC door seals that provide a watertight closure and anti-UV treated plastic strips to prevent yellowing over time. Ensure the supplier provides adjustable wall profiles (usually 15-20mm adjustment) to compensate for out-of-plumb walls, which is a common issue in construction.

Glass is highly fragile. You should mandate 5-layer corrugated export cartons with honeycomb board or EPE foam protecting all edges. For LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments, insist on fumigated wooden crates or pallets. It is highly recommended to purchase Marine Insurance (All Risks) and include a 'drop test' requirement in your Quality Management agreement.

Focus on the thickness of the glass (6mm, 8mm, or 10mm) and the material grade of the hardware as these are the primary cost drivers. Request a breakdown of the BOM (Bill of Materials). If you are a high-volume buyer, negotiate for 2% free-of-charge (FOC) spare parts, specifically rollers and plastic seals, which are the most common items requiring after-sales replacement.

Conduct due diligence by checking if the supplier is an Audited Supplier on Made-in-China.com. Request a factory video audit to verify their production lines and testing equipment (like salt spray test machines for hardware). Use Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released after the Bill of Lading is issued or after a successful third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI).

Shower enclosures are bulky; calculating the CBM (Cubic Meter) accurately is vital for freight budgeting. Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) that some regions (like the EU or USA) may impose on Chinese aluminum or glass products. Ensure the supplier provides a detailed Packing List and Certificate of Origin to facilitate smooth customs clearance and potentially benefit from trade agreements.
