Request the supplier to provide salt spray test reports and continuous operation test data. High-end generators often use Incoloy 800/840 heating tubes, which offer superior resistance to oxidation and high temperatures compared to standard copper or basic stainless steel.

The biggest risks are voltage incompatibility and shipping damage. Always confirm the local voltage (e.g., 220V Single Phase vs. 380V Three Phase) with the supplier before production. To mitigate shipping risks, insist on wooden crate packaging rather than just cardboard boxes to protect the internal water tank and electronics.

Focus on the Warranty Period and Spare Parts. Negotiate for a 2-year warranty and request a 2-3% allocation of free wearing parts (such as sensors and solenoid valves) with your bulk shipment. This reduces your after-sales maintenance costs significantly.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by the platform to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Furthermore, hire a third-party inspection agency to conduct a 'Pre-shipment Inspection' (PSI) to verify the leakage protection and steam output before the balance payment is made.

Steam generators are heavy and contain sensitive electronics. For small batches, Air Freight with 'Fragile' labeling is fast but expensive. For commercial volumes, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin to help you benefit from potential tariff preferences under trade agreements.
