The choice depends on the target age group and manufacturing process. Focus on the pupil alignment and iris printing quality. For 'cat eyes' or 'dragon eyes,' ensure the vertical pupils are centered and symmetrical. For 3D glitter eyes, check that the glitter film is securely bonded to the back of the acrylic to prevent peeling. Specify the diameter in millimeters (mm) and the shank length to ensure compatibility with the thickness of your toy's fabric.

Beyond checking certificates, implement a Dupro (During Production) Inspection. Require the inspector to perform a pull test (usually 90 Newtons) on the eyes attached to the toy body. Focus on mold ownership and customization. If you require a unique iris design, clarify who owns the injection mold. Also, request free replacement units (1-2% overage) to account for any minor scratches during bulk shipping.

Plastic and acrylic eyes are prone to surface scratching. Insist on individual compartment trays or polybags with soft inner linings rather than bulk-packing in large sacks.
