Request a video inspection focusing on the oscillation mechanism (look for smooth movement without clicking sounds) and the mounting bracket thickness (should be at least 2mm steel). Ask for the motor winding material; 100% pure copper motors are significantly more durable and heat-resistant than copper-clad aluminum (CCA) alternatives.

Ensure the fan includes a reinforced wall-mount kit capable of supporting 3x the fan's weight. Safety features should include a tight-mesh finger guard (especially if mounted at lower heights) and a pull-cord or remote switch to prevent users from reaching near the blades. For outdoor or humid areas, an IP44 rating or higher is necessary for moisture resistance.

Explicitly define the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) in the contract, typically 1.5 for major defects and 4.0 for minor defects.
