PVC is the most cost-effective and offers excellent heat-shrink properties, making it ideal for high-speed bottling lines. Polylaminate provides a premium feel and better aesthetic finish, often used for mid-to-high-end wines. Pure Tin is the gold standard for luxury wines, offering a seamless look and being 100% recyclable, though it comes at a significantly higher price point.

Buyers must specify the exact diameter (usually 28mm to 31mm) and length (typically 50mm to 60mm) to ensure a perfect fit for their specific bottle neck profile. Additionally, confirm the micron thickness of the material to prevent tearing during the shrinking process. For branded capsules, request Pantone color matching and specify the printing technique, such as rotogravure, silk-screen, or hot-foil stamping, to ensure brand consistency.

Since capsules come into close proximity to the bottle mouth, they must comply with FDA (US) or EC 1935/2004 (EU) food-contact safety regulations.
