Bondable Single-Sided Sodium-Etched PTFE Skived Sheet for Tank Lining & Guide Rail

Sodium etching chemically modifies the PTFE surface to create polar groups, making the normally non-stick PTFE bondable. Single-sided etching means only one face is treated for adhesion, while the other face retains PTFE's original non-stick, low-friction, and corrosion-resistant properties - ideal for linings and guide rails where one side is fixed and the other contacts media.

The etched surface provides much higher bond strength than untreated PTFE and can form strong joints with epoxy, polyurethane, and cyanoacrylate adhesives. Actual strength depends on the adhesive type and curing process. We recommend small-scale testing before full application to ensure your peel strength requirements are met.

Yes. The untreated face fully retains pure PTFE's chemical inertness, low friction coefficient, and non-stick characteristics. It resists strong acids, bases, and organic solvents, and resists material build-up for easy cleaning.
