Graphite filling mainly reduces friction and improves thermal conductivity and dimensional stability. For strongly oxidizing acids, the compatibility of carbon/graphite must be evaluated. Provide your media, temperature, and pressure, and we will recommend a suitable formulation.
Q:Is it FDA-compliant for food contact? Can it be used in food and pharmaceutical applications?
A:
No. Carbon/graphite filled PTFE is not FDA food-grade and is not recommended for direct contact with food, drugs, or potable water. MSDS, ROHS, and REACH documents can be provided. If FDA compliance is mandatory, a pure PTFE version is available, but its creep resistance will be lower than filled versions.
