It uses depth filtration where raw water percolates through a thick layer of graded particles (quartz sand). Suspended materials attach to the media, and clean water exits via nozzles. When pressure differential increases, automatic backwashing cleans the filter.

Q:How does the automatic backwashing process work?

When a pressure differential switch senses a preset value, it signals the controller to start backwashing. Pressurized water flows in reverse from nozzles upwards, suspending the filter bed to release suspended matter, which is then washed out through the back-flush valve.
