Q:What is the working principle of the sand filter?
A:
Raw water enters the filter inlet and percolates through a thick layer of graded particles. Suspended materials attach to the media, and clean water flows out through nozzles. When pressure differential reaches a maximum, a backwash cleaning process begins.
Q:How does the automatic cleaning process work?
A:
In automatic installations, a pressure differential switch senses the pressure difference. When it reaches a preset value, a signal is sent to the controller to start the self-cleaning process, where pressurized water flows in reverse to wash out dirt particles.

A:
