Se 501 Starch Ether for Wall Putty and Masonry Mortar

SE 501 is modified starch ether with excellent thixotropic property for dry-mix mortar systems.

It enhances surface smoothness for wall putty and gypsum products while delivering moderate thickening performance.

It provides superior sag resistance, effectively optimizes vertical construction performance of putty and masonry mortar.

It is suitable for masonry mortar and wall putty formulations for interior construction projects.

Appearance is fine white powder without surface treatment. Viscosity ranges 3000 to 6000cps under Brookfield RVT five percent solution test.

Moisture content is controlled no more than 8.0 percent for stable storage and application performance.

It features slight strong thickening efficiency, slight strong sag resistance and slight strong water demand for mortar formulas.

Recommended dosage is 0.20 percent to 0.40 percent of cementitious material weight. Pre-testing shall be performed before formal use according to raw materials and construction specifications.

It shows good compatibility with all Portland cement products and all Sidleychem admixtures and must be added separately to the mixing system.
