Q:How does the hydraulic elevator dam operate? What is the lift time and drop time? Can the water be blocking at any height?

The back side is supported by two hydraulic cylinders powered by a hydraulic station. Lifting time is about 1min/m, lowering time is adjustable from 30s to 30min. It can achieve arbitrary dam height water retention.

Q:How does the dam work if sedimentation on top of its surface is more than 30 cm?

It is designed to withstand severe mud and sand sedimentation. The dam can adjust up to a vertical angle of 75 degrees to wash away sedimentation under normal flow conditions. Any remaining sediment is not significant enough to affect operation.

Q:What should be done if branches and stones are stuck in the dam?

For floating objects like branches, regulation of a single dam or coordination with adjacent dams allows them to drift away. If stones are stuck, the dam's angle is adjusted to release them due to gravity and water flow.

Q:Is it possible to lift and drop the dam at the same time?

Yes, we can custom design the hydraulic pump station for synchronous lifting and dropping. However, enhancing flow and power to accommodate this will increase the cost.

Q:Is it possible to operate the dam manually? How much more economical is this option?

Yes, manual control is available for areas without electricity using hand pumps or diesel engines. For rivers with multiple gates, only one mobile diesel engine is needed, saving about 30%-40% in investment compared to the standard hydraulic elevator dam.
